The Doha Forum 2017, an annual event convened by the Government of Qatar, was held on May 14-15, 2017 under the motto "Development, stability and refugee crisis".

The 2017 edition was attended by Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs of Argentina´s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Gustavo Zlauvinen, who participated in a plenary session on "Socioeconomic issues of refugee crisis: Economy, Education and Health".

In his speech, Ambassador Zlauvinen highlighted Argentina's long tradition of receiving refugees and migrants, and its strong commitment to humanitarian matters. He referred to the implementation of the Syrian Humanitarian Visa Program (Syria Program), its development and implementation.
