We organized a ladies-only working lunch at Boho Social Qatar with women who’s been cooperating with the Embassy of the Argentine Republic to the State of Qatar during the past year and a half.
It was an honour to host H.E. Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, CEO of the Doha Film Institute, H.E. Lolwa Al-Marri, President of the Qatar Women’s Sport Committee, H.E. Mariam Abdulla Al-Haroon, President of the QW Assocaiton. We also invited members of the Qatari Bussiness Women Association , including Jiskala Khalayli, its Executive Director, and Amal Al-Aathem, a Board Member, who’ve held meetings at the Embassy in efforts to connect the Association with Argentine business women, to share experiences and work together. We also invited Dr. Ghada M. Darwish Karbon, whose Law Firm represents the Embassy, and is also an active member of the QBWA, Dima Khatib, Managing Director of AJ+, Dr. Mimi Farqane, Founder and CEO of Pallas Arts, who’s been actively working with our Embassy seeking to help Argentine NGOs. Also Mrs. Concon Ponce, Founder of Future318 and organizer of the Doha Women Forum -2018 and 2019- and different events on Gender Gap and Feminism, in which the embassy participated.
H.E. Maria T. Albader, Spouse of H.E. Jamal Al Bader and owner of Pasarela Haute Couture, which recently organized a fashion show with three argentine designers here in Doha; Nawa al Akram, a comedian, model, athlete and disability rights campaigner, who’s been collaborating with the Embassy, Yasmian Ghanem, the only Qatari female golfer who is seeking to become the first Qatari female polo player and to do that will travel to Argentina to train with the best polo players in the world, and Mayada AlSahaf, a renowed journalist who specializes in interviews to women.
Other ladies were also invited but sadly were not in the country.
