On May 2nd, 2018, the opening of the exhibition of Latin American G7 artists in Qatar took place at the Katara Cultural Village. The event was attended by a large audience, including representatives of the diplomatic corps and journalists.
The exhibition includes works by artists Juan Miguel Ramirez, Jonathan Machado Tepper, Angeles Ollarburo, Leonora Benvides, Maria Al Bader, Melina de Moura, Oscar Mantilla, Sebastian Betancourt, Maria de las Nieves Ahuad and Alma Otero.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Latin American embassies in Qatar. During the opening ceremony, the Ambassador of the Argentine Republic and Dean of the Latin American Group, Rossana Surballe, highlighted the idea of intercultural communication proposed by the "Algarabia" exhibition, which reflects experiences and sentiments shared by Latin American artists in Doha and discover similarities between the differences.
