Did you know that Argentina was the first country to celebrate Animal Day? Every 29 April we pay tribute to Ignacio Albarracín, a lawyer who dedicated his life to protectionism. His work led to Law n°2.786, the first in defense of animals. On April 29, 1908, the first Animal Party was held in Buenos Aires, bringing together kids from all schools and the highest authorities. When he became President of the Argentine Animal Welfare Society, he stopped practicing law and devoted himself completely to help animals. Albarracín died as a coincidence on April 29, 1926.
