In celebration of Qatar Environment Day, Ambassador Carlos Hernández and his wife joined as volunteers a Cleanup day at  Salwa Beach, nearby the border with Saudi Arabia.
The initiative was organized by Jose Saucedo, Director of the Doha Environmental Actions Project, a volunteering organization leading the Beach Clean Up movement and fight against plastic pollution in Qatar, in alignment with the Qatar National Vision2030.

Al baladiya also took part of the clean up that involved almost 50 volunteers, including those of Project Rescue Ocean.
Also, the Ambassador's wife joined a tree-planting ceremony at the African Women’s Diplomatic Garden, launched recently by the Quranic Botanic Garden in Education City.
