Within the framework of the International Women’s Day celebrations, we shared with Qatar Womens Sport Committee the opening of a photo exhibition on women in sports in the Arab world. The President of the Committee and host of the event, S.E. Lowla Al Marri, and the renowned Bein Sports journalist Leila Smati, gave the welcome remarks, and together with our Ambassador and other prominent guests, participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the exhibition. Also present at the event were Al Jazeera news anchor Salma Aljamal, representatives of 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum, news anchor Ahmad Alkhaldi, the legends Talal Mansour Alabdallah, Alsinyari, Adel Khamis, as well as representatives of Qatar Olympic. The exhibition, that will be open till the end of the month, includes photos of renowned Qatari athletes who paved the way for future generations, including Afaaf Alqorane, first Qatari female boxer, Alaa Soliman, member of the national basketball team, Amal Mohed, first qatari referee FIBA 3x3, and the hurdler Mariam Fahid, among others.
