The countdown is over! Proud and excited of the successful launch of SAOCOM1B by CONAE (National Commission for Space Activities).

The Argentine satellite was launched during our early morning (8:18 p.m. Buenos Aires - 2:18 a.m. Doha time) from SpaceX's Falcon9 launcher at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA.

The SAOCOM1B spacecraft is the second of the two SAOCOM constellation satellites. It is tasked with hydrology and land observation, and will also provide frequent information relevant for emergency management.
