Meetings of Ambassador of Argentina with Ministers of Qatar´s Government

On May 13, 2018, the Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the State of Qatar, Rossana Surballe, was received by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi. On the occasion, they highlighted the high level of the bilateral relations between both countries, as well as the recent visit of the Minister of State to Argentina in order to participate in the II Meeting of Political Consultations.

On May 20, Ambassador Surballe met with the Minister of Energy and Industry, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada. Cooperation in energy matters between both countries was analyzed on the occasion.

Likewise, on May 21, Ambassador Surballe met with the Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs of the State of Qatar, Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi. During the meeting the changes in labor legislation in Qatar in recent years were discussed, as well as possible areas of cooperation with Argentina in labor matters.

On the same day, Ambassador Surballe met with the Minister of Municipality and Environment, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi, who is also in charge of agriculture matters in Qatar. On the occasion, both parties highlighted that being Argentina a key food producer, it is an important partner of Qatar in terms of food provision. At the same time, future joint work possibilities were analyzed.

On May 22, Ambassador Surballe met with the Minister of Transport and Communications, Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti. On the occasion, the high level of bilateral relations between the two countries was recognized.

In addition, Ambassador Surballe had an interview with the CEO of Katara Cultural Village, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti. During the meeting the cooperation links with Katara were highlighted, as well as the cultural events with Argentine artists performed at the Cultural Village during the last years.
