Martin Ron is an Argentine street artist who has painted the walls of streets in various cities around the world and he decided to give a gift to Qatar, painting in only 3 days a mural in a wall of building 40 of Katara.
His 11-metre tall mural shows the vibrancy of Doha, inspired by the strength of the Qatari people and the developments in the country, highlighting the pride of its people and its resilience in front of the ongoing unjust blockade, with a powerful arabian oryx, symbol of Qatar, breaking a wall. The work is called "Oryx Going Ahead", showing the Doha skyline and also a map of Qatar on the forehead of oryx.
The unveiling was witnessed by H.E. Dr Carlos Hernández, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the State of Qatar, HE Dr. Khalid Bin Ibrahim Al-sulaiti, Katara General Manager, the artist himself, and many diplomats and art connoisseurs.
